Jody Wheeler
Growing up in Ballston Spa, NY, Jody Wheeler developed a greater than average interest in books and illustration having been encouraged by her great aunt Opal Wheeler, a prolific writer of children's books in the 1950's. After graduating from Elmira college with a degree in art education and fine art she moved to Manhattan, working at The Dial Press before establishing her own freelance illustration business. Since then she's enjoyed creating artwork for many projects including books, magazines, cards and licensed characters. Today she divides her time between Ballston Spa and Manhattan living a City Mouse, Country Mouse lifestyle.
