The Weir

The Hudson River Shakespeare Company will be presenting Conor McPherson’s award-winning play The Weir September 26-28 at the Little Theater on the Farm, Fort Edward.

This quiet little play is set in an Irish pub, where three regulars are prompted by the presence of a newcomer to share their stories, which include “some brushes with the supernatural” says director Kathleen Daly.

Hudson River Shakespeare regulars Dave Lundgren, Andy Daly, Bruce Van Guilder and Janelle Hammond are joined by newcomer (and actual Irishman!) Mick O’Dalaigh. Kathleen Daly directs and harpist Judi Gross provides the music. The play contains adult language and is not suitable for young children.

Tickets are $10; showtimes are 8 pm September 26 and 27, with matinees at 2 pm September 27 and 28. Reservations: 747-4418, email hrsc1999@aol.com, or visit hudsonrivershakespeare.org.
