Scholarship Brunch – Adirondack Branch, AAUW

Adirondack Branch AAUW is holding a brunch to support its Adirondack Branch Memorial Scholarship, which is in its 61st year of providing college scholarships to area students. Brunch will be served at 9:30 am, followed by the program at 10:30. The suggested donation is $10 (or more) per person. Guests and prospective members are welcome to attend.

Dr. Kathleen McCoy, Professor of English at SUNY Adirondack, will be speaking on Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Dr McCoy holds a PhD and MA from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a BA from Georgetown College. In 2006 she received the President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. She has presented on the topic of Women’s Suffrage at the SUNY Senior Lecture Series.

The Adirondack Branch Memorial Scholarship is available to an area student presently enrolled and attending an accredited college, working for a degree at the associates, bachelor or graduate level. The branch has budgeted $1000 for the award this year.
