Pianist Inga Kashakashvili with special guest Anna Keiserman in “Voyage to Europe” concert.

The Hudson River Music Hall presents pianist Inga Kashakashvili with special guest Anna Keiserman on Sunday, June 12th at 6:00 pm. Their “Voyage to Europe” concert presents musical miniatures by German and French composers. The program for the first half of the concert will feature music by Robert Schumann, whose Arabesque Op. 18depicts a wide range of moods, evincing the composer’s alter egos. Bilder aus Osten, or “Pictures from the East”, continues the journey with a set of six impromptus which invokes folk melodies and rhythms of Central Europe. Rounding out the first half will be his Novelette No. 8, Op. 21, a tale of adventure.

The second half of the concert takes a step back to the crystalline clarity of the baroque composer, Jean-Phillipe Rameau, followed by Debussy’s Petite Suite. The triptych of Debussy’s Estampes, meanwhile, paints vivid images of exotic oriental and occidental lands. The Sonata by Francis Poulenc will finish the concert with bright melodies and flashes of color.
