Our Town Theatre Group 2018 Season Announcement Celebration

Date/Time: 1/20/2018 (07:00 pm - 11:00 pm)

Our Town Theater Group is pleased to announce its 2018 Season at a Celebration and Tribute to Costume Design. It will be held at the Tannery Pond Community Center on Saturday, January 20, starting at 7:00 pm.
The evening will feature music and dancing with the Frank Conti Band, an auction of theme baskets and selected costume pieces, a costume tag sale, and refreshments. The 20 year old community theater group will dedicate the upcoming season to long time founding member and costumer Jane Casteneda. Her support and influence was vital to the success of OTTG until her passing last August. “Costumes are important” Jane used to say, “If a performance is great you may not notice the costumes if they perfectly fit the play, but if they are bad it will certainly be obvious to the audience!”.
Admission to the event is free, but participation in the auction and costume sale will require funds. Theme baskets will include a 2018 VIP season pass to OTTG’s mainstage performances, and several furs and coats will be included in the auction. Please join OTTG for this celebration! Inspecting Carol at HMT

Date/Time: 2/10/2018 - 2/25/2018 (07:30 pm)

By Daniel Sullivan. Take a seat for a laugh out loud razzle dazzle of funny characters in this hilarious farce! This madcap comedy creates a theater experience that is anything but show business as usual. The play is about a group of dysfunctional theater people who take themselves very seriously. This struggling theater company is set to open their annual production of A Christmas Carol when they find out their funding is being held up until they pass an undercover inspection. When an impossibly bad actor is mistakenly identified as the inspector, the troupe does everything to accommodate his craziest wishes. As the impending opening night draws closer, it seems only a Christmas miracle will save this production.
