Graphite and Charcoal Drawings by Rodney Bentley at The Widlund Gallery

Rodney Allen Bentley, is an American Artist and Illustrator. He is an Adirondack Native of Thurman NY. His untapped passion for creativity exploded when his 20 year corporate business life imploded following a severe traumatic brain injury during a skull fracture while falling at his home . Awakening from a coma in Philadelphia PA during 2011, he learned from his team of medical professionals that the severe brain hemorrhages had dissipated with no medical explanation and they were only referred to as a true miracles. Although disabled, Rodney had not yet begun to realize his artistic potential and it was during the summer of 2012. Working mainly in charcoal and graphite, his work will be on display at The Widlund Gallery at Tannery Pond in North Creek from February 2-29, 2016. Join us for his opening reception Friday February 12, 2016 from 5:30-7:30pm.
