AAUW Branch Dinner and Program: Narcotics Issues In Our Community

A Branch Dinner Meeting will be held on Thursday, September 15 at the Queensbury Hotel, Glens Falls. Social time will begin at 5:30 pm, with dinner at 6:00 pm. Following dinner, a powerful panel of professionals will discuss several aspects of the drug and narcotic addiction problem in our immediate area. Panel members are Judy Moffitt, a South Glens Falls science teacher and mother of a recovering addict, who will chair the panel and discuss the development and comforting aspects of NARANON groups. Lt. Steven Stockdale from the Warren County Police Department will discuss the legal issues of addition. Ashley Livingston will discuss recovery. Sue Roberts- McManus from Glens Falls Hospital will give medical ramifications for drug recovery. Sue is director of the narcotic and drug center at the hospital and at the hospital Hudson Falls satellite.
