Here and Now

Once a month, in-home caregivers and individuals with dementia, early stages of Alzheimer’s, and other cognitive challenges can participate in a free Museum visit program. A Museum educator will lead a conversation about individual works of art that encourages social interaction and communication. RSVP by contacting Keri Dudek at kdudek@hydecollection.org or 518-792-1761, ext. 317. Groups from care facilities can reserve Here and Now Tours for four to eight people by contacting Keri.

Open Studio with Museum Educator Keri Dudek

Flora and Fauna: Jane Peterson Style. Review and discuss Jane Peterson’s imagery of flowers and plants, then visit Hyde House courtyard to create sketches from live plant life. Participants will then learn how to transform sketches into watercolor paintings in the Art Studio. $10 members/$12 non-members. A Lasting Legacy Gala

Celebrate The Hyde Collection’s rich history and its accomplishments at this year’s Gala, A Lasting Legacy: Honoring the Past | Celebrating the Present | Building the Future. Go back in time, retracing the steps of Museum founder Charlotte Pruyn Hyde and her husband, Louis, as they traveled the world to build their incredible art collection. We will honor Anne Saile, interim Museum director, with the inaugural Legacy Award for her leadership as she prepares to leave the Museum at the end of the year.
