Eleanor Rowland earned a B.S. in Art Education from
Skidmore College and M.A. in Fine Art Painting and Printmaking from SUNY
at Albany. She taught art at Glens Falls Middle and High School for
seventeen years. After retirement she established and operated "Artworks
School of Art", located in Glens Falls, seeking to offer the community a
venue for additional educational classes in the field of art. In the
last decade Eleanor has turned her attention to painting full time. Her
work is now included in national and regional exhibitions throughout the
country, receiving several honors and awards. She is a founding member
of the "Guild of Adirondack Artists", also of the Upper Hudson Valley
Watercolor Society". Her original watercolors are available at the "Peel
Gallery" in Danby, VT, Riverside Gallery in Warrensburg, NY, Saratoga
County Arts Council, Saratoga Springs, NY, and at this Web Site. Rowland
maintains her studio at 1609 Ridge Road, Queensbury, NY. |
