Schuylerville Community Theater (SCT), a
volunteer, non-profit theater arts organization, is celebrating 26
years of promoting and sponsoring the performing arts in our
community. As SCT looks forward to our next quarter century,
we vow to continue to bring top quality family entertainment to
Saratoga County and surrounding areas. In that spirit, SCT is
currently producing the Regional Premiere of Disney's Beauty and
The Beast. Based on the Academy Award-winning animated
feature, the stage adaptation of Beauty and The Beast
includes music from the creators of Little Shop of Horrors
and Aida as well as the Disney film Aladdin. This
production promises to be a spectacular musical unlike anything
seen on local stages! SCT invites you to be our guest and
bring someone you love to experience the enchantment of this
extraordinary musical running March 31, April 1, 2, 7, 8 and 9.
SCT is distinguished for having produced a spring musical and fall
play each year since 1980. Our volunteer organization offers
area children ages 5 through 18 the opportunity to experience live
theater performance and production during our popular Children's
Summer Theater. SCT also grants yearly scholarships to
graduating high school seniors in
Warren, Washington and Saratoga Counties who pursue higher
education degrees in performance arts or music education.
SCT welcomes community members interested in directing, choral and
orchestral direction, choreography, children's theater direction,
musical direction for children's theater, lighting design, sound
design, set design, set construction, costume design and sewing,
grant writing, publicity, sponsorship, serving on our Board of
Directors, and exploring the exciting world of theater production
and performance! |
