The Friends of St. George was formed as a
fundraising group for St. George Orthodox Church, 55 Main St.,
South Glens Falls. The Steering Committee consists of members
of the parish, as well as non-members. Dances, Music, Theatre, Art,
Fashion Shows, Cookouts, and Ethnic Food Sales are but a few of the
ways the Friends does its fundraising. Their goal of the
Coffee House is to
present programs about eight times a year when they convert the
parish center into a coffee house with musical entertainment.
They are constantly looking for new ideas which will attract
various segments of the community; anyone with ideas should contact
The Friends of St. George at the phone number listed below
Coming in May The Friends will sponsor a Hafli (a mid-eastern
party) with ethnic food, music and dancing. |
