Each month LARAC highlights an Organization from the Adirondack Region
that is tied to the arts and culture of the region.

Crandall Library lends Books (fiction and nonfiction); Videos; Audio books (Cassettes & CDs); Music (CDs); DVDs, and Magazines.  Its Reference Department provides Internet access;  internet and computer classes; Telephone, fax, and e-mail reference; Full-text magazine database; Interlibrary loan; Outreach Services to the home bound; SALS/MVLA online catalog, and more.  The Children's Department offers Story times; Parent/child workshops; Tours for school groups; Parent education information;  Summer reading programs; Children’s movies and theater; Computer classes; and Art Workshops.  The Center for Folklife assists with genealogy and local history questions; presents Cultural programs; Lecture series;  Family workshops; Publications and exhibitions; and more.  In addition Crandall hosts Special Programs which include  a Film and Video Festival; Writers Series; Lectures; Cultural programs; use of the Auditorium for non-profit organizations; Friends of the Library book sale; and Art exhibits in the Gallery

music by Brian Chevalier, storytelling by Jeanine Laverty, book making workshop with Paula Krieg,
mask making workshops, a display by the Wings Falls Quilt Guild, food drive, “Homemade Halloween” costume and photo exhibit, bagpipe music, slide show of Glens Falls Hometown U.S.A
try therapeutic massage, join in a scavenger hunt and sign up for door prizes,
and a special screening of the Oscar-nominated film, Winged Migration
