The Adirondack Camera Club demands only one thing of its members:
that they enjoy photography. Membership is encouraged for all
interested photographers regardless of age or ability.
Special memberships are offered to high school students and
families.
Meetings are held at 7:30 pm in the Lapham Gallery on the second
Friday of each month, from September through June. Competitions
take place during the meetings, usually have an assigned topic, and
are judged at several levels of ability. In addition,
instructional sessions are scheduled throughout the year to provide
small group study on particular subjects. Critique sessions
are also held to provide an informal review of each photographers
work. The club arranges numerous field trips to such diverse
locations as the Maine coast and the local junkyard. These outings
present interesting photographic opportunities, and often some
award-winning photographs.
