Lakeshore Gallery of Bolton Landing is opening
its doors on May 17. The Kimak-Stauss family (Pam, Richard, and
Michael Kimak, Danielle Kimak-Stauss, and Bryan Stauss) has been
working about a year to renovate the space into the gallery located at
4985 Lakeshore Drive, Route 9N at the intersection of Sagamore Road.
Husband and wife, Richard and Pam had vacationed
in the area for years and then bought a home in the 1990s. Pam does
architectural renderings, and her husband studied art in college. Pam
Kimak states that they had often dreamed about owning a gallery.
Their daughter Danielle teaches art in New Jersey and son-in-law Bryan
works in the art field also; with Richard and son Michael in the
construction business, the pieces came together and their gallery is
now a reality.
The Lakeshore Gallery offers 1200 square feet of
space, and exhibited work will emphasize nature-inspired art
from both new and established artists as well as regional and
nationally known artists. Their first exhibit runs May 7 through June
28, with the Grand Opening on May 17 from 6-9 p.m. It will be a group
show featuring work of Potter: Lyn-Rae Ashley; Painters: Ellen
Gavin, Tim Gow, Claudia Durer, Marianne Kuhn, Sally Erskine, Joan
Kantounis, Joann K. Murphy, John Maurer, Audry Romano, Nadia
Rymanowski, Annette Pehnke, Nancy Rogal, Bryan Stauss, and Tom Ryan;
Metalsmiths: Stephen LeBlanc, and Sandy Stragnell; Mixed Media:
Caroline Hooke; and Photographer:
David Oxford.
LARAC welcomes the Kimak-Stauss family to the arts and cultural
community of the Adirondack Region. We hope you will stop by to
welcome them as well and to view the Lakeshore Gallery exhibits.
