PROGRAM Annual Potluck Dinner - with special guest James Kettlewell
Thursday, February 10th  6:00-8:00 pm
No Charge.  Please Bring a Dish to Share!

James Kettlewell will be our Special Guest that evening.  He will be discussing 'Michelangelo:  Meaning and Form".  Artists (or anybody with an interest in art!) are invited to attend.

WORKSHOP Children's Workshop (ages 8-12):  "Make a Little Sunshine"
Tuesday, February 22 and Wednesday, February 23, 10 am - 1:30 pm
$35 per child, $30 each additional sibling. LARAC Members receive 10% discount
Instructor Kate Hartley will help children ages 8-12 to create beautiful wall piece sculptures to brighten up our February walls and make a little sunshine!  Inspired by Mexican folk art, students will be using clay, wire mesh, plaster, mirrors and paint.  Children should wear old cloths and bring a healthy snack and a drink to each class.  Parents are invited to join in for the last 15 minutes on Wednesday, February 23rd for their "art show"!  (Takes place in our workshop upstairs.)
Pre-registration is required by February 19th. 
PROGRAM Printmaking Techniques

Instructor Jennifer Miller will be teaching printing techniques that they can do at home without the use of a press!  (Takes place in our workshop upstairs.)

WORKSHOP One-hour Beginner Website Workshop
Friday, March 11th  6:30-7:30 pm 
$5 LARAC Members/$10 non-members

Instructor Kate Austin-Avon.  Participants will work on developing the sections of their website:  Bio, Contact, Gallery, News.  We will use worksheets to help you write a draft of the sections.  Examples will be shown.

WORKSHOP Intermediate Website Workshop
Saturday, March 19th  11:00 - 2:30 pm (1/2 hour lunch break) 
$25 LARAC Members/$35 non-members

Instructor Kate Austin-Avon.  For moderately computer-savvy people who do not already have a website.  Must bring laptops and come prepared with website content (from the workshop above or your own version) and 10 images (on your hard drive, a Flashdrive, or a CD.)  You will be plugging your information into an actual template and setting up your own Wordpress-created website.  Wordpress will then host your site for free, using "yournamehere".wordpress.com format.  Or, if interested, you may use a credit card to purchase (for approx. $150) your own domain name, including set-up and one year of hosting.  6 person maximum.

Credit voucher only will be issued if LARAC is notified of cancellation 24 hours prior to scheduled class.
Voucher can be used toward a future workshop or program at LARAC. Thank you.
