Rucker’s exhibition, 3…2…1…take off! features drawings, sculpture and mixed media work that explores the process of flight. Rucker has been fascinated with flight and the idea of earning her wings from an early age. Imagines of seedlings, cocoons, wings and helicopters are shown.

Deborah Webster presents paintings and mixed media artwork. Her work has richly textured surfaces resulting from a layering process that reflects the visual form of the connection and intricacies of thought, memories and emotions.

Work by two photographers rounds out Spring Exhibitions. Jeri Lynn Eisenberg of East Greenbush explores traditional still life imagery through the untraditional photographic process of Polaroid SX-70 manipulation.  During the 1970’s Polaroid produced a series of unusual “pop-up” SLR cameras and a unique companion film that enabled the public to get “instant” color images as prints were ejected from the camera.  What was considered an initial disadvantage to the film, however, that its emulsion remained soft for period of time, soon began to be exploited by photographic artists.  While the emulsion is soft, Eisenberg uses implements to alter the surface into unique, impressionistic images that straddles the line between photography and painting.

Liz Scott Connolly’s fascination with components and detail manifests itself in images whose subject matter is transformed into photographic prints marked by strong texture, strong color, and strong composition. The ordinary—here a sunflower, a tire, an old ship—become extraordinary through her camera lens.
