Setting the Keystone -- Dave Francis, PSA
Dave Francis, PSA
Pastel artist Dave Francis, a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America, presents his Toy Series, a group of fifteen pastel paintings that take a nostalgic look at simple toys and games of his past.  Whimsically portrayed, the paintings demonstrate Dave’s realistic pastel style and technique.  Dave, a LARAC member, recently received the Outstanding Still Life Award at the Northeast National Pastel Exhibition in Old Forge, NY.  He is also a founding member and President of the Adirondack Pastel Society.

St. Regis River Blue -- Joyce Hanson
Joyce Hanson
Joyce Hanson captures the essence of the Adirondacks in her light-filled pastel landscapes.  Her paintings depict not just classical views of the Adirondack Park, but rather glimpses of the snapshots of beauty inherent everywhere one looks; a dirt road carved through the forest, streams reflecting the tall trees, a single birch stand amongst a grouping of evergreens.  An art instructor for nearly three decades, Joyce is now retired and resides in the Northern Adirondacks with her husband, fellow Light Fair exhibitor, Ron Pederson. She has won many awards for her pastel work, including the Outstanding Landscape Award, Masters Division, in Old Forge’s 55th Annual Juried Exhibition in 2007.

Synth#1 -- Paul Lange
Paul Lange
Photographer Paul Lange presents his "Big Bloom" series of orchid portraits.  These large fine art photographs depict delicate orchids against a stark, white background, incorporating light in a uniquely dramatic manner; this imbues a lyrical or theatrical sense to the floral portraiture, similar to how Paul has photographed countless celebrities during his lengthy career as an Editorial and Fashion Photographer, owning and operating his own photography studio in NYC for nearly 30 years.  Now working out of his state-of-the art photo studio in the Hudson Valley, Paul specializes in Fine Art Photography, portraiture, special assignments and private commissions.

Duck Pond Ripple -- Jon Pederson
Ron Pederson
Woodworker Ron Pederson, displays his wood turned designs, working primarily with reclaimed and salvaged pieces from dead or storm-downed trees. The unique marks left by the ravages of nature remain in the finished pieces, worked in to create an aesthetic juxtaposition of man made object versus naturally developed designs.  Ron has explored many artistic disciplines throughout his long and award-filled career, including printmaking, watercolor painting, etching, and illustration.  He resides in the Northern Adirondacks with his wife, Joyce Pederson, also an artist exhibiting in Light Fair.
