LARAC's first exhibit of the 2006 season, "New Work for the New Year", features regional artists working in all mediums, including 3-D work. Over 160 pieces of work were entered, and 80 were selected by the jury.

The jury was composed of three professional artists/art educators:  mixed media artist and Lake George High School art teacher Katie Casey, Painter Andrea Scheidler from Putney, Vermont, and Tom Myott, painter and South Glens Falls High School art teacher, well-known for his original depictions of Saratoga racing scenes.
