The Georgi Museum and Park Center is located on nine landscaped acres
along the Battenkill River. The museum holds the treasured
Renaissance art collection of the Georgis, who donated their home and
collection to the Town of Salem. This lovely setting in the

popular site for weddings, family gatherings, outdoor concerts, and

Metropolitan coloratura Marcella Sembrich (1858-1935), recitalist,
teacher, and benefactor. Original furnishings, a changing exhibit
of costumes worn by the opera singer, a vast array of autographed photos of her colleagues,
paintings, and objects d'art will engage the visitor interested in art,
music, history, or antiques. Curator tours available daily.
Summer musical programs include recitals, music lectures a Master Class

Opening its doors in 1986, The National Museum of Dance is the only
museum in the nation dedicated to American professional dance and is an
all-inclusive institution, dedicated to diversity and resolute in
representing dance forms from a variety of cultural, religious, and
class backgrounds of American society. The museum holds a firm
belief that the arts should be accessible to everyone. A
non-profit organization with three major goals: communicating and
dramatizing America's brilliant heritage in dance with a "living
museum," increasing our community and school outreach, and restoring a
registered National Historic Landmark to appropriate public use.
The National Museum of Dance is the only museum in the nation dedicated
to American professional dance. Dedicated to diversity and
resolute in representing dance forms from a variety of cultural,
religious, and class backgrounds of American society there are currently
three on-going exhibitions and a children’s Backstage play area.
The Museum’s latest project is the School of the Arts offering dance

site of Teddy Roosevelt's night ride and succession to the Presidency in

Constructed in 1772 as a private residence, for Patrick Smyth, the Old
Fort House is one of the oldest frame structures in upstate New York and
the focal point of a campus that includes five additional
buildings. The facility also includes the Baldwin Barn Gallery

During the renovation period of the Museum's new home at 89 Warren
Street, Glens Falls, WACM will temporarily move to 174 Glen Street,
Glens Falls. The Museum will continue its International Youth Art
Exchange Program, conduct cultural outreach programs in the schools, and
hold International Youth Exhibitions at a number of venues off-site.
However, the children's interactive on-site exhibition, is postponed
until the completion of WACM's new home renovations. |

Named for “Gio”
(piano) and “Ginny” (violin) de Blasiis, who began to give regular
recitals in 1932 with George Finckel, (cello), it is one of the
oldest, continuously performing, chamber music series in the United
States. Although primarily devoted to the classical repertoire,
it nevertheless includes contemporary music in its offerings; allowing
artists the liberty to choose the music they would like to
perform. Three concerts are given in the Fall and three in
the Spring. The cost of a subscription is $60 for the
series, $20 for students. At the door, $15 and $7. |

The Lake George Community Band was founded in May of 2003 and currently
has approximately 80 musician members. Our diverse membership
includes professional musicians, music educators, some who are just
learning to play an instruments and others who haven't played in an
organized music group for many years. No audition is required to
become a member and no membership fees are charged. We rehearse
and perform from late March through early December each year and play a
diverse program of music. Our main performance venue is Shepard

A walk through the Marketplace will reveal a wide range of products:
honey, maple, home baked rolls and cookies, Watkins brand products for

| The Adirondack Community College Theatre
Program has been under the direction of Ruth Liberman since 1982. During
that time, the college has produced such classic plays as "Nicholas Nicklebly" &
"Tartuffe", everyone’s favorites plays such as "You Can’t Take
It With You" & "Harvey" to very contemporary plays such as "The Music Lesson" &
"The Memory of Water". Now in its 23rd season, the program also houses a
Touring Theatre for Children that tours to area elementary schools each
autumn for some 3,000 to 5,000 students and teachers. Theatre Courses at
ACC are designed to be enriching, practical experiences that complement
a Liberal Arts education. Students of all ages are encouraged to

| The Adirondack Theatre Festival is a
professional summer theater founded in 1995 to present new and
contemporary theater in the Glens Falls/Lake George region. The
Festival currently takes place in June and July and presents a wide
variety of plays, musicals, solo performers, and cabaret to audiences
for our community, the Albany capital District, and summer
residents. Besides presenting at least one world premier each
summer the Festival has been the first in our region to present

The Woolworth Theater Project has been designed with the specific
mission of creating as much activity by as wide a spectrum of performing
groups as possible. Its 300 seats have been determined to be the optimal
number to generate performance nights, and its stage facilities are
suited to most (although not all) of the region's performing entities.
The spacious rehearsal
area and proposed basement rehearsal/performance space will add to the
activity level.
The Design Team of Glens Falls' Joy McCoola & Zilch, P.C. as architects
and New York City's Minds Eye Consultants as theater consultants has
created a space which will be functional, flexible, and comfortable.
Besides the theater, the building will also
contain retail, office and rehearsal space, all consistent with the
economic development portion of the Project's goals.
You can help make the Woolworth Theater Project a reality. You can
contribute any amount, and in a variety of ways: Pledges, Cash
Contributions, Securities and Real Estate, Gifts-in-Kind, Estate

The Lake George Opera has been producing professional opera since
1960s, engaging both established major artists and singers at the
beginning of important careers. Founded at Diamond Point on Lake
George, the company now presents its major productions at the Spa
Little Theater in Saratoga Springs. The company boasts the
country's second oldest Apprentice Artist Training Program, selecting
eight singers each year from a national pool of applicants that
numbers over 650. Since the mid-1980s the company has had an
active Education Program which has grown significantly over the past
three years. Opera to Go brings a fully staged opera to
elementary school children throughout a seven county upstate area.
In 2002, over 12,000 students were able to experience live opera.
In 2003, the company debuts Opera a la Carte, which will bring
workshops, masterclasses, and concerts to middle and high school
students. |

Youtheatre is a musical theatre workshop located in

The Upper Hudson Valley Watercolor Society (UHVWS) is among the most
active art groups in the region. Formed in 1989, it currently has
74 members. Membership is open to anyone interested in water
media, which encompasses watercolor, acrylics and gouache. Annual
dues are $20. Meetings are held the first Monday of the month
(except July and August) at the Lapham Gallery in the LARAC building, 7

newsletter keeps members up-to-date on meetings, activities by members,

of interest to members, and an annual bus trip to NYC to view the
