All of Diane Burk's designs are original and hand hooked
by her with 100% wool yarn and the finest backing materials.
Running Ridge Studio offers designs and hooked rugs as floor
rugs/runners, wall hangings, chair pads, table servers, or
pillows.
Hooked Rug Kits and Patterns are available for those who
would like to hook their own rugs. Punch Hooking Rug Kits include:
basic instructions, 100% wool yarn, a color coded pattern map showing
where colors are used, a pattern drawn on the finest 100% cotton monks
cloth with edges taped, and a color photo of the finished rug.
Kits do not come with a hooking tool or a frame to stretch. For
those wishing the design only, patterns are available in two formats:
Patterns for punch hookers are drawn on 100% cotton monks cloth with
edges taped and reversed for working pattern from the back.
Patterns for 'traditional' hookers to use with yarn or wool strips are
drawn on the front of either monk's cloth or Scottish burlap and taped.
Running Ridge opens the opportunity for those who wish
to own their own hooked rugs. Depending on your interest and
pocketbook, you can buy an already completed piece, a pre-assembled kit
to complete the rug yourself, or have a rug designed and custom-sized to
your specifications.
Running Ridge Studio will also work with you to incorporate your ideas,
concepts, size, and color preferences into a personalized rug or wall
hanging. And any design you see on the Running Ridge Gallery Page
can be customized to size, color, and subject matter. Call or email for
