Keith's Jacket: Wood Sculpture by William O'Donnell   Cabinetry by William O'Donnell
"I was amazed at the artist's ability to evoke the weight and smooth texture, satin surface of a well-worn leather coat, from the pucker of the pockets and the sag at the shoulders to the quilted plush of the lining. The addition of the hanger, zipper pull and cell phone only enhance the masterful illusion of 3-D object reality. My congratulations to this artist for fashioning a work that is not only a technical tour-de-force, but a witty inversion of the" found object"-i.e., an ordinary object sculpturally 'found' within a block of wood. Well done!" Dr. Jefferson Harrison, Chief Curator, Chrysler Museum of Art, Norfolk, Virginia
